Roberto Vaimberg
Partner responsible for the Legal, Compliance, Accounting, and Technology departments. Previously, he was the Customer Services Director at the insurance company Icatu Hartford, responsible for the Operations, Technology, Call Center and Corporate Services departments (2002-2008), risk manager and allocator at Utor Investimentos (2001-2002) and the responsible for Banco Icatu’s Operations Department (1994-2001). He obtained a postgraduate degree in Finance from IBMEC-RJ (Brazilian Capital Market Institute of Rio de Janeiro), and the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification, after graduating in Electronic and Telecommunications Engineering from PUC-Rio.
José Pugas
Partner and Head of Sustainability. He has been working in agribusiness, innovation, and sustainability for over 15 years, with projects developed with the main players in the sector, governments, and international development entities. He was Vice-President of the ICLFS (Integrated crop-livestock-forestry systems) Network and is a participant in the main sustainable agricultural think tanks in the country. Pugas is a political scientist, who graduated in Law from UFRJ (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro) and in Cultural and Media Studies from UFF (Fluminense Federal University), besides that, he holds postgraduate degrees in Agribusiness, Sustainability, and Political Sciences from ESALQ/USP (Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture), and IUPERJ (Institute of Social and Political Studies of the State University of Rio de Janeiro).

Fernando de Paula Rocha

Previously, he was Chief Economist at Banco Banif-Primus (2000), and an analyst in the Research Department at the Federation of Industries of the State of Rio de Janeiro (1997-99). Fernando is a member of the ANBIMA’s Economic Council and a columnist at Valor Econômico. Thiago Lima
Partner at JGP Real Estate, member of the investment committee, and real estate funds portfolio manager. Thiago has more than 20 years of experience in investment, management, and real estate operations. He worked at Prudential Real Estate Investors Latin America, (JV Prudential/Icatu), Multiplan, and Brmalls, where he was the Director of M&A, Corporate Finance and Development, helping the company become the leading shopping mall company in Latin America. In 2013, he became the CEO of REP Real Estate Partners (Vinci Partners/PDG), a private company focused on medium-sized shopping malls and strip malls. Thiago co-founded Brazil Residential Care and became the CEO of Saphyr (his Investimentos) in 2017. He graduated in Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, with an MBA from IBMEC (Brazilian Capital Market Institute), an EDP from Wharton Business School, an OPM from Harvard Business School, and is a member of YPO Brasil (Young Presidents Organization).
Carla Morais
She has been responsible for Debt Structuring at JGP Credito since 2021. Previously, she worked for seven years as a senior credit operations analyst at BTG Pactual and also worked at other institutions such as Banco Genial, XP Investimentos, and Necton Corretora (BTG Pactual group). Carla joined the financial market in 2008, she holds a degree and an extension course in Finance from COPPEAD-UFRJ (Graduate School of Business of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro), and an MBA in Finance from IBMEC-RJ (Brazilian Capital Market Institute of Rio de Janeiro).
Gabriel Sertã
He has been a credit analyst at JGP since 2020. Previously he worked in the Equities and back-office departments at JGP, from 2018 to 2019. Gabriel was also part of the Distressed Debt Management and Recovery team at Brasil Plural from 2017 to 2018. In addition, he worked at two civil engineering companies, Piratininga Incorporações, and ZJ Construções, from 2015 to 2016. Gabriel graduated as a Production Engineer from PUC-Rio (Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro).
Bruno Souza
He has been the Chief Data Officer at JGP Crédito since 2019. Before joining JGP Crédito, Bruno worked for eight years in the IT Department at JGP Gestão de Recursos. Before that, he was a systems analyst at companies such as Petrobras, Previ, BRQ, and Endev. Bruno graduated in Computer Science from UERJ (Rio de Janeiro State University) and holds an MBA in Finance from FGV (Getúlio Vargas Foundation).
Marcelo Mollica Jourdan, CFA
Partner and Special Situations analyst. Previously, he was one of the equity portfolio managers of JGP’s Multi-strategy funds (2017-2021), focusing on arbitrage and corporate events operations. Before that, he was an equity funds PM at GAP Asset Management (2008-2017), partner and corporate analyst at Paineiras Investimentos (2007-2008), and senior corporate analyst at Opportunity Asset Management (2006-2007). Marcelo held the position of strategic development director (1999/2004) and executive director (ISP-Business Unit, 2004/2006) at Embratel. He began his career at Banco Icatu, as an equity analyst in the Telecommunications (1996-1999) and IBM (1993-1994) sectors. He holds a Master’s degree in Economics from FGV (Getúlio Vargas Foundation) and a degree in Electrical and Telecommunications Engineering from PUC-Rio (Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro). Luiza Oswald
Partner responsible for the Special Situations Department. Previously, she was a partner at Canvas Capital, where she was part of the Credit Management team, leading the Legal Credit Analysis team (2015-2019). Between 2011 and 2015, Luiza was also a partner at JGP Crédito, participating in the development and management of the Distressed Asset funds. Between 2004 and 2010, she worked coordinating the Legal Credit Department at Banco BBM. She graduated in Law from PUC-Rio (Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro).
